Memory of Birds at far° Nyon
Memory of Birds is an interactive sound installation unfolding among the trees. Tania El Khoury conceived the work in collaboration with a trauma therapist and migratory birds. The piece explores political violence buried, both literally and symbolically, within contested territories. At its core lies the artist’s complex relationship to land: a land marked by trauma, mass graves and toxicity, serving simultaneously as an archive of political struggle, a trace of power relations, and a migration ground for multiple species seeking survival. Designed as a guided somatic experience, Memory of Birds is a self-consuming artwork, intentionally conceived as ephemeral.
